The Stones Family

Stones Superior Homes is a family-owned and operated business that has been in existence since 1975. Beginning as a staff of just two, Kim and Anne Stone rolled up their sleeves for some very hard work - and today Stones has three individually-run businesses (including Stones Superior Homes and Stones RV); employing a team of about 40 dedicated employees.


Kim and Anne continue to be involved in the day-to-day business and are assisted by their son, Jonathan, and two daughters, Chantal and Danielle.


Over the past 44 years, the Stones family has developed an outstanding reputation for delivering top-quality Prestige homes to families in Nova Scotia, in fact, over 1,000 families and counting! “We are proud to sell Prestige Homes” says Kim, “because they offer you the most innovative design concepts in modular homes and, at the same time, they are dedicated to the principal of giving you more for your money”.

Stones Prestige Homes' Danielle Park was nominated for the RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards in spring 2021. Nominations for this award are given to female business owners and entrepreneurs that show just what women in the world of business can do. With outstanding achievements and successful businesses behind them, nominees are driven and intelligent businesswomen. 014 SHARP Award for the category of Best Air Tightness in New Home Construction

Stones is the recent recipient of the accredited 2014 SHARP Award for the category of Best Air Tightness in New Home Construction (for houses less the 2500 sq/ft). Airtightness is critical for reducing heat loss, decreasing power consumption, and ultimately lowering energy costs. This is an award that Stones is pleased to accept, knowing each and every home they build is done to the same scrutinizing level of construction. A sample of 10 houses from Stone's proved best in category for energy evaluations when compared to a total of 518 new homes in Nova Scotia from various builders and manufacturers. Stones Superior Homes is honored to receive the prestigious 2013 Pictou County Chamber of Commerce Large Business of the Year Award. Chantal, Danielle, and Jonathan accepted the award on behalf of the Stone family at the ceremony (held Nov 21, 2013). This achievement is due to the high standards and dedication of the Stone family, and their entire staff, in providing excellent customer service and showing significant growth. The Honorable Barrie MacMillan, Mayor of New Glasgow NS, commented in a letter to Stones (sent Dec 12, 2013), that "the impressive growth of Stones Superior Homes and Stones RV in the past number of years is to be commended. We applaud your company for continuing to contribute to the economic growth of our region... and for the dedication and expertise provided by the entire family."




Housing Manager: Danielle (Stone) Park

Danielle grew up in the business working weekends and summers until graduating from St. FX in 2002. After spending 2 years in the teaching profession, she realized her passion was in the family business and left teaching to begin a new career in "New Home Sales". It was quite evident Danielle found her calling and began achieving immediate success in helping customers to build the home of their dreams. In 2006, Danielle was promoted to Housing Manager displaying a relentless drive to grow the business and maximize our efforts in customer service by creating "Customers for Life".



Housing Consultant: Chantal (Stone) Barker

Chantal grew up in the family business and worked in virtually every department of the Stones RV Operations. While achieving success in every role in RV, Chantal's interests were in the Housing Operations. In 2009, a "Housing Consultant" position opened and she was ecstatic to be appointed to the role; working side by side with her sister, Danielle. During her tenure as a Housing Consultant, she quickly earned the respect and appreciation of her fellow employees and customers alike. Chantal has a very friendly and outgoing personality with a flair for interior design and decoration.



Sales / Administrative Assistant: Christa MacDonald

Christa joins us with a diverse work experience background, providing a great asset to the Stones Superior Homes team. She developed a great deal of customer service experience from working front end at Sobeys while earning her Commerce Degree at St Mary's University. Since then, she has worked extensively in the fields of Merchandising, Data Management and Community Development. Christa will welcome and greet you with a smile upon visiting Stones Superior Homes. She is involved in many aspects of the day to day operations, making sure they run smoothly and pitching in to help other staff to name a few! Christa is committed to delivering a great customer experience to each person that calls or walks through the door at Stones Superior Homes!


Customer Care / Financial Management: Glenn Wallace

Glenn retired from the Canadian Forces with an extensive background in finance and administration and this background and expertise is a terrific fit for the company. Glenn quickly transferred his skills to our business and has been instrumental in helping us become better organized, in creating new systems and processes, in creating a "Customer Care - Service Program" and acting as an overall resource in financial and managerial matters. Glenn oversees the Service segment of our business and coordinates the timely completion of all warranty related issues.
