Buying a Prestige home involves a number of clearly defined steps.
One: Getting to know you
The first step is to contact the Prestige builder in your area. At the initial meeting, your builder will discuss your wants, needs and options with you in detail, so you can get the best possible advice. Your builder will also explain every part of the process, from financing to permits to getting your site ready, so there will be no surprises!
Two: You choose your home
Prestige Homes has a wide selection of pre-designed plans with a variety of optional layouts, elevations and features. Your Prestige builder can help you customize any of our plans. You can also bring in your own plans, or if you prefer, we can start from scratch, beginning with your visions and ideas. No matter what approach you take, we'll work closely with you to make sure that your new home is just right for you.
Three: You select the finishes
Once you have decided on the overall design of your home, you are ready to choose the flooring, carpeting, cabinetry, finishes and accessories you want. For many of our home buyers, this is one of the most exciting aspects of home buying. We offer a superb selection of top-quality products from leading-brand name manufacturers, and your builder will give you as much assistance as you like in creating the look that truly reflects you and your lifestyle. When your selection is completed, we will work out the final price of your home and put it all in writing. You'll know exactly how much your home will cost, down to the last dollar, before construction starts.
Four: The home is built and your site is prepared
Once all the decisions are made and the paperwork done, construction can begin at our facilities in Sussex, New Brunswick. We'll give you a firm start and delivery date that you can count on. And you are welcome to drop by at any time to see your home being built.
During this period, the site for your new home will also be prepared. This means building a foundation, it may also mean clearing an access road, bringing in services, digging a well ... Whatever is required, your Prestige builder has the experience, the knowledge and the network of professionals to look after the work for you. We will also provide you with sound advice if you want to take an active role in the site work yourself.
Five: The home is brought to your site and completed
On the promised day, we bring your home to your building site. It typically takes less than a day, sometimes only a few hours, to set a home on the foundation. It may take your builder up to a couple of weeks to complete the site work, depending on the size, style and features of your home. Site work usually includes finishing touches inside and out, hooking up to services and doing the things that are best done on site, such as brick cladding, porches and front steps. Once your home is ready, your builder will do a customer orientation tour of the home with you to make sure everything is completed according to plan and that you know exactly how everything works.
Six: You move in and enjoy your new home
