The Prestige Story
Prestige Homes has a long and distinguished history as one of Canada's leading factory-based building companies.
From modest beginnings we have become one of the largest home builders in Atlantic Canada, with a network of Prestige builders across the Maritimes and in the Northeastern US. In 1999, we became part of the Shaw Group, which includes Clayton Developments and Shaw Brick-companies with a long tradition and deep roots in the Maritimes. For the past three years, the Shaw Group has been named one of the 50 best-managed companies in Canada.
From day one, Prestige Homes has been a trailblazer in the factory-built housing industry, always striving to provide better homes, better options and better living for our customers.
- We pioneered factory custom building in Atlantic Canada and continue to "push the envelope" with our design, innovation and range of choices.
- We introduced the concept of the mini-home-the compact home that's big on quality construction, features and finishes.
- Together with Clayton Developments we built the first EnviroHome in Atlantic Canada, in 1998. As part of a joint national initiative of the Canadian Home Builders' Association and TD Canada Trust, EnviroHome demonstrates "homes that are better for you and better for the environment".
- We employ the latest equipment, systems and technologies to constantly improve our construction process and advance the quality of our homes. Our process emphasizes timeliness, efficiency, responsibility and quality assurance.
- We have been recognized by Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) for our contribution to the housing industry.
- We export our homes all over the world, including Germany, China and Japan.
- Our commercial building projects include multi-family complexes, hotels and educational facilities.
